Rossi Revolvers

Rossi Revolvers- Rossi revolvers are a well built revolver and popular amongst revolver shooters.  Rossi Arms Company is a family-run firearms designer and manufacturer in Brazil, whose revolver models are currently manufactured by Forjas Taurus, S.A. under contract with Rossi. Taurus revolvers are great so the same technology is used in Rossi revolvers. This article provides an overview of Ross- Arms and Rossi revolvers.

Rossi Arms Company Introduction

This company was founded in 1889 by Amadeo Rossi, and was and still is a family company. Key moments in the company history include:

• using Interarms of Alexandria, Virginia to distribute Rossi firearms in North America;

• switching to BrazTech International L.C. for distribution in North America in 1997;

• the purchase by Forjas Taurus, S.A. to the rights and equipment for manufacturing Rossi revolver models. The Rossi revolvers are now made in a Taurus facility in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil.

• the acquisition by Taurus S.A. of Rossi Firearms in September, 2008, including all firearms besides the revolvers, to which they gained rights earlier: shotguns, single-shot matched pair rifles, black-powder muzzleloading rifles, and youth-sized mini-loaders. It planned to retain all Rossi staff and also planned to release new Rossi models.

The Rossi Arms Company has won some firearms community awards.

• In 2003, it won the Professional Gun Retailers Association Excellence Award.

• In 2007, it won the “Best of the Best” Award from Field and Stream for a youth rifle, the Trifecta.

• In 2008, the Rossi Matched Pair won the “Member Tested and Recommended- Seal of Approval” from the North American Hunting Club.

Rossi Revolvers

Rossi revolvers include seven models: three chambered for .38 Special +P and four chambered for .357 Magnum.

• Rossi R46102- This snub-nosed revolver has a 2-inch barrel and a 6-round capacity. It can fire .38 Special +P, as well as .357 Magnum rounds. It has a blue finish. The cost of the Rossi R46102 is around $363.00.
